Eddie "Too Fast" Chambers climbs into the ring with Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday night. The fight taking place in The Esprit Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany is for the IBF and WBO world titles. Chambers boasts victories over
Alexander Dimitrenko,
Samuel Peter and Calvin Brock. Despite an impressive record of 35 wins with just 1 loss, Chambers starts a big underdog against the champion. Not regarded as a big hitter (18 KOs), Chambers will have to try to outbox Klitschko over 12 rounds. Klitschko is widely regarded as the best boxer in the division, so this seems like a difficult task.
For the champion it is his first defence since stopping
Ruslan Chagaev last year. The Ukrainian is said to have recovered well from a torn bicep optained in that fight. Klitschko will have a big size advantage but Chambers believes that experiance fighting big men in the past will help him. He points to his victory over Alexander Dimitrenko to highlight this. However, Klitschko is a much bigger hitter and better boxer than Dimitrenko. Chambers could use his speed to cause a few problems for Wladimir but the champion will no doubt boss the fight from behind his jab. Look to Klitschko to wear down and stop a brave Chambers in the middle rounds.
